One of my insights during a recent Rich Litvin‘s intensive : When I am not receiving No’s/ having epic fails, I am staying in my comfort zone/ not reaching for my dreams. Thank you Hayden Lee MCC for clarifying in your brilliance session that the comfort of safety and the sea of Yes’s brings with itself a risk of never finding out what could be.. With a choice between fear of a No and a risk of never reaching for my dreams, I am choosing to collect No’s!
Yesterday I read an article of an inspirational founder of Aramex (the first Arab-based company to be listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange; now a over USD 1.2 bn market cap company), Fadi Ghandour, and his interview by HBR (https://lnkd.in/e-aTSrA). What struck me how a “No” founders of Aramex received back in 1984 when they tried to sell a 50% stake in the business to Airborne Express, turned out to be a launchpad of Aramex’s success story..
